Where do you meet Duffy and Friends at Shanghai Disneyland?

On Mickey Avenue, in an ordinary standby line - no reservation or lottery. The official character list (checked September 2026) places Duffy and Friends at separate spots along the avenue: Duffy near Whistle Stop Shop, ShellieMay a short walk away, StellaLou at Sweetheart Confectionery, CookieAnn at Avenue M Arcade, Gelatoni at the Garage, and ‘Olu Mel at Three Little Pigs. On the day we checked, this greeting ran roughly 8:30am to 2:15pm - treat that as a pattern, not a schedule, and confirm the day’s hours in the app.

LinaBell, the pink fox character, greets separately from the rest of the Duffy line at Friendship Point on Adventure Isle, and her hours run notably longer - to around 7:15pm on the day checked. She’s the reason to plan a Duffy-family visit around two stops, not one.

LinaBell is the one character actually from Shanghai

LinaBell debuted at Shanghai Disneyland on 29 September 2021 and was created specifically for this resort - she doesn’t exist anywhere else. The rest of the Duffy and Friends line started at other parks: Duffy at Tokyo DisneySea (2005), ShellieMay (2010) and Gelatoni (2014) also at Tokyo DisneySea, StellaLou (2017) at Tokyo DisneySea, CookieAnn (2018) at Hong Kong Disneyland, and ‘Olu Mel (2018) at Aulani in Hawaii. If you only have time for one Duffy-family meet-and-greet, LinaBell is the one you can’t do anywhere else.

As of September 2026, the whole lineup is wearing new outfits inspired by traditional Chinese style - a seasonal look, so expect it to change.

Is there a reservation, lottery, or Standby Pass for meeting characters?

No - regular character greetings run on ordinary standby lines. We checked the resort’s 19 public character-meeting pages and found no mention of a Standby Pass, virtual queue, or lottery for any of them. A few rules apply across the board:

• Characters appear “occasionally throughout the day” - there’s no published timetable, and appearances can shift with operations.
• The queue can close early once the meeting reaches capacity, regardless of the posted end time.
• Guests in line can ask for up to one autograph per character.
• Selfie sticks are banned parkwide, including at meet-and-greets.
• Outdoor greetings pause for rain, high wind, poor air quality, thunderstorms, or extreme heat - the resort had a heat advisory posted as of 13 September 2026.

The one exception is the Annual Pass Exclusive Character Greeting at Adventure Isle, which requires a reservation and an annual pass - it isn’t sold or available on its own to single-day ticket holders.

Character location filtering is built into the official app’s map, so “who’s out and where” on the day is more reliable there than any fixed schedule here.

What about Mickey, princesses, and the rest of the lineup?

Mickey greets at the Gardens of Imagination, with hours running longer than most (9am-8pm on the day checked). Inside the castle at Fantasyland, guests may find Cinderella, Rapunzel, Belle, Aurora, and Snow White in the Storybook Court - again, an “occasionally throughout the day” appearance, not a fixed slot. Beyond those, the resort runs meetings for Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Winnie the Pooh’s friends, Jack Sparrow, Zootopia’s Judy and Nick, the Toy Story Land gang, Pixar characters, the Lilo & Stitch trio, and Marvel characters at Gardens of Imagination and Tomorrowland - 20 meeting points in total as of this check.
